Non-transferrable, nonrefundable and will not be prorated.Consent(Required) I agree to the following terms and conditions for the operations of a golf cart on City streets: Golf carts cannot be operated on 13th Street, Highway 71, Highway 86 or 28th Street; these streets are for crossing ONLY. Golf carts must be equipped with a slow moving vehicle sign and bicycle safety flag. Golf Carts shall be equipped with adequate brakes. Operator must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Golf carts can be operated upon designated City streets from sunrise to sunset. Golf carts shall not exceed 20 miles per hour. Golf carts cannot be operated or parked on public sidewalks, bike trails, or in City Parks. No parking upon City Streets. No golf cart shall carry more passengers than the golf cart is designed for. Golf carts shall not be used to tow anything. No person shall operate a golf cart while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No person shall operate a golf cart in a careless, reckless, or negligent manner endangering the person or property of another or causing injury or damage to same. Operating a golf cart requires observation of all State and local traffic code provisions. Except when executing a left turn, golf carts shall be driven as close as practical to the right-hand edge of any street. Golf carts shall yield the right-of-way to other motor vehicles at all uncontrolled intersections regardless of the dictates of Sections 321.319 of the Code of Iowa. When 2 or more golf carts are being operated in the same direction and general vicinity, they shall proceed in single file. Golf carts shall not be operated on City streets without a permit sticker issued by the office of the City Clerk. The Chief of Police may revoke the permit of any golf cart in the event of repeated violations, following a notice and opportunity for a hearing. Any violation shall be considered a simple misdemeanor punishable as a violation under Code of Iowa Section 805.8A. The applicant agrees to indemnify and hold the City of Milford harmless from the litigation that may arise from operation of a golf cart on City streets. Operators of golf carts shall review Chapter 79-Milford Code of Ordinances for further rules and regulations.
